Our STEAM Summer School in partnership with Worley comes to an end!

Participants aspiring towards future carers in science, engineering and sustainability have the chance to take part in workshops and hear from industry professionals

Our Summer school programme involved participants aged 16 to 19 years old that had a keen interest in future carers linked to science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM). The sessions took place over the course of two days and featured a number of workshops and activities hosted by industry professionals from across the Worley organisation which delivers projects and provides engineering, procurement and construction expertise to the upstream, midstream, chemicals, power, and mining and minerals sectors.

Hosted at our brand new offices and event space the Community Stadium Hub, participants took part in a range of workshops introducing them to engineering, renewable and low carbon energy, virtual and augmented reality, project management, water energy, and coding and robotics.

It has been great to see the young people taking part in this event at our new community stadium hub… Over the course of two days they have covered complex content and heard from diverse speakers. The sessions were interactive and challenging and the young people came away learning a number of new skills and making new friends!
