Celebrate World Photography Day with us and take a look through some of the photos from across the Trust this year

As today is World Photography Day in this article, we wanted to highlight some of the photos from across different Trust departments in 2022. Explaining what we do here at the Trust is always difficult due to the variety of programmes we have on offer. With some of our programmes beginning at the age of 16 months through to 65 years old, we are able to tell our stories through photography and film. 

In May the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra visited our Friday evening Community Engagement session at Gunnersbury Park where participants, parents and staff all had the chance to try out various instruments and were then invited to answer some questions based on what football meant to them and why they think football is so popular around the world – https://www.instagram.com/p/CdYuGkgKWCZ/

Ivan Toney visited Rabbsfarm Primary School for one of our No Room For Racism workshops which followed over 40 other schools and over 1300 participants who have taken part in the workshops delivered by Primary Stars team and community ambassadors Marcus Gayle and Salma Mahamud – https://www.instagram.com/p/CeB-MA2qhMj/

The 2022 Gunnersbury Cup is a massive success with over 108 boys grassroots teams taking part in the competition in July – https://www.instagram.com/p/CfoywzdKSJi/

The Premier League set a challenge for students to create a social action project to help address environmental sustainability within local communities, schools or football clubs in May and we worked with students from Chiswick School to plant a number of bee-friendly flowers/seeds outside of the Gtech Community Stadium – https://www.instagram.com/p/Cd6Kq7eqcRN/

Participants from our Boys Football Development Advanced Centre took on Northampton Town in competitive fixtures back in April – https://www.instagram.com/p/CcQjuJkK1R0/

BBC Sport London joins us at Gunnersbury Park for our women’s recreational football session ahead of the Gtech Community Stadium hosting its first game of the Women’s Euro Competition – https://www.instagram.com/p/CgM0DClMz1N/

Our Girls Development Centre participants took on Swindon Town FC and AFC Wimbledon Foundations in a round robin tournament hosted at Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub – https://www.instagram.com/p/ChKwOucK673/

We joined hundreds of children from across England and Wales to take part in the 21/22 Premier League Primary Stars Football Tournament held at Vicarage Road. Collis Primary School represented us on theday and claimed the under 11 girls crown. We visited St James Primary School in Twickenham as their year 5 classes began their 6-week Joy of Moving programme with us – https://www.instagram.com/p/Cc5s-NZK0wg/
