We Launch a Charity Scheme That Will Support Our Trust

 In News

The Football Club’s Trust will get a digital upgrade on its charity donations.

The initiative, called the Pennies scheme, will transform the way football fans can donate money to charity. Now, Brentford fans will be able to donate to the Trust when buying Club merchandise online or in the Club Shop.

Bees fans will have the opportunity to donate 25p when they pay on card in the Club Shop or online. All money donated will be invested into the Trust’s vital community projects – helping thousands of people across west London.

With the Bees’ new kits for the 2018/19 season just launched, fans are being encouraged to buy the new kit – while giving back to their local sports charity.

Established more than 30 years ago, the Trust uses the power of sport to inspire and empower people from all sections of the local community. With Brentford FC being crowned ‘Community Club of the Year’ four times, the Trust has long been regarded as one of the most innovative Sports Trusts in the country – delivering life-changing work to communities across west London.

Kirsty Turner, a Brentford season-ticket holder and volunteer for the Trust, said:

“Not only will these donations help generate extra funds for the Trust but it will also widen their community offer – reaching out to more sections of our local community.

“I would encourage every Brentford fan to buy this season’s kit, which will also support the Club’s valuable and much-needed work in the community.

Lee Doyle, Chief Executive of Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, said:

“Brentford fans have always been a great asset to our Community Trust – helping us to deliver our life-changing community work.

“This is another fantastic opportunity for the fans to give back – underpinning our values as a community Club.”

Mark Devlin, Brentford FC Chief Executive, said:

“I am very pleased that months of hard work from our retail team and the Trust has come to fruition. This is an excellent idea and I hope it will generate lots for our Trust.

“The Club is committed to its community work and we try to support the Trust in any way we can with player appearances, ticket offers and promotion. This is a way our fans can help us with financial support and do their bit while picking up some Brentford merchandise.”

Fans can buy the new kit online here or buy in the Club shop – next to Griffin Park.
