Riding for the Trust – Jayden Love

 In News

A keen footballer, Jayden Love is west London born and raised. Combining his passion for football and cycling, in his own words it made perfect sense to take part in RideLondon and fundraise for the Trust.

Hi Jayden, would you tell us a bit about yourself?

Hi my name is Jayden a fitness fanatic, I cycle, play football and I also run. I’m from west London born and raised, I’m from Grenadian heritage, find me on Instagram @JayCyclesLove.

What inspired you to take part in RideLondon on behalf of Brentford FC Community Sports Trust?

The Trust is a good cause and as I said earlier I play, but also love football, so why not do the ride for a local teams charity – makes perfect sense!

Have you done any long-distance cycling challenges before? If so what event?

I’ve done many long distant challenges in the last three years. Cycling has been my go to fitness as well as playing football Saturday and Sunday leagues. In 2020 I rode from London to Brighton then back to London for Mind Charity which then became an annual trip for me and my friends. I also rode the London to Brighton for British Heart Foundation last June. I also took part in the RideLondon100 for the first time last year in a time of 05:12:12 which I was chuffed with.

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

I can’t wait to have a brilliant time in the saddle meeting like-minded new people also seeing and greeting the ones I already know along the way to the finish line.

Do you have any family, friends, or a group you go out cycling with?

I cycle with two groups of people. Some who were friends before cycling and some which I’ve met through the cycling groups which are both on Instagram: @ChainGaingCyclists & @TwR

What message do you have for people who are supporting you by donating?

Thank you to everybody who has donated and supported me on the RideLondon100. Your love and generosity does not go unnoticed, bless you all.

And finally, what’s the first thing you’re going to do after RideLondon?

The first thing I’m going to do once my RideLondon100 is over is indulge in a large packet of my go to Custard Creams with a lovely strawberry Nourishment…while my legs are raised sky high on the sofa!
