Feel Good Fitness returns this May

Our second Feel Good Fitness cohort starts in May. Choose one or more of the three classes: Football Fitness, Couch to 5k, and Health and Fitness

In partnership with Hounslow Council, Positive Movement, NHS Hounslow IAPT, and NHS Trust, the Feel Good Fitness programme started earlier this year.

Due to the most recent lockdown, the first ten-week round of the programme took place via online zoom sessions. With the ease of restrictions, the programme is now being delivered face-to-face in various venues.

Football Fitness

For participants aged 18+, the session led by Brentford FC coaches will include a range of fun football skills and challenges. The activities will combine football technique and fitness, with an element of healthy competition thrown in to keep everyone on their toes, at Heston Pools and Fitness, New Heston Rd, Hounslow TW5 0LW.

Couch to 5k

Our Couch to 5k programme is suitable for complete beginners, as you progress each week until the final week, where you will complete a 5k run. The programme is delivered at Hanworth Park, in Feltham.

Men’s and Women’s Fitness Classes

The fitness sessions combine cardio, strength, and flexibility exercises and will get you into the habit of regular exercise while improving your fitness and mood. All classes will be delivered online.

Adam, Football Fitness participant, said: “Thank you so much for the past ten weeks of football, exercise, and extremely useful information to help in the future with managing stress and anxiety.

“I would definitely recommend these sessions and would advise anyone who is any doubt about joining in to give them a go. They are fun, and you learn new skills to manage your life as well as getting fit.”

Jenny, who took part in the last Fitness programme, said: “I am feeling much better – I am able to focus and organise myself better. I have started teaching exercise in our local park, and it is an absolute joy to feel I can contribute to other people’s well-being.”
