Join our football trials this September
We are looking for talented young footballers to join our Football Development programme this September.
Held at our state-of-the-art sports facilities at Gunnersbury Park, the trials will take place on the following dates:
- Tuesday 1 September
- Wednesday 2 September
What does the Football Development programme involve?
With expert football coaching spanning more than 18 years, players will attend weekly training sessions at our brand-new sports hubs at Gunnersbury Park and Uxbridge High School. Goalkeepers are catered for with specialist coaching staff.
Our football development programme offers young people of any ability, and those with potential, the opportunity to receive a high-quality football education experience – enabling them to improve in a player-centred environment.
Our Football Development Programme includes term-time training in the evening and a structured development match programme against other community sports trusts such as Chelsea, Fulham, MK Dons, Reading, West Ham United and Wycombe Wanderers.
Plus, we have established a Performance Centre providing players – with the potential – to be challenged further. Our coaching staff will be assessing and evaluating the development of each player on a continuous basis during the training sessions and the match programme – providing every player in our programme an incentive to progress through our football pathway.
What is the benefit of joining our Football Development Centre?
Ben Grummit, who is now part of our football education programme, believes our advanced centres were instrumental in developing his football career.
He said: “Through attending the programme, I now have the confidence to do many things with my footballing ability, and I’ve been given many chances to showcase my talents in-front of many coaches and scouts.
“The continuous training and support from the coaches are perfect for a young player trying to develop their skills. The coaches have also been giving me one to one advice about how to improve any weaknesses I have.”
What is the criteria for the trials?
The trials are available to:
- boys in school years 2 to 11.
- boys who live in Berkshire, Harrow, Hammersmith, Hounslow, Ealing, Richmond, Hillingdon and Spelthorne.
