Community Takeover: BBC London interview our young Head Coach

 In News

Brentford’s match against Blackburn Rovers was dedicated to the local community and young people played a special role. The Club’s first ever Community Takeover Match took place as The Bees beat Blackburn 5-2 on Saturday, 2 February, and children from Brentford FC Community Sports Trust’s projects had important matchday roles. One of them was Eira Griffiths, a budding female footballer, who joined Thomas Frank in the Head Coach role. Eira is part of the Trust’s girls’ football project, which encourages girls to unlock their footballing potential.

Part of Eira’s role was to speak to the media after the game alongside Thomas. An interview with Billy Reeves, of BBC London, was kindly provided by Billy. That can be heard here.
