Brentford Secure Top 10 Finish in Planet League Table
Green Football Weekend marked the conclusion of Planet League with Brentford finishing 9th overall.
Brentford secured a top ten finish as the latest Planet League competition concluded at the weekend.
81 football clubs across England registered for the competition, with fans taking on a series of sustainable challenges to earn goals and climb the table.
During the competition we saw staff eating meat-free meals, people in the community walking to school or work and players from our Women’s Teams and Men’s B Team took on the layer up challenge with mixed results.
Brentford players, staff and fans united to score a combined total of 3,030 Planet League goals, registering 2,299kg of CO2 saved during the three-week campaign.
Whilst the competition has now finished, the challenge is to continue living a more sustainable lifestyle to all do our part for the environment.
