Brentford goalkeeper Luke Daniels takes part in a quiz for our Short Breaks project

 In News

Being asked “who his favourite Disney princess is” isn’t the usual question a professional footballer gets asked. Yet 32-year-old Luke Daniels was asked just that when he took part in an online quiz for our Short Breaks project, which supports children with special needs. The session saw Luke play quizmaster in an exciting online quiz before the roles were swapped and the children asked Luke a number of questions – including his favourite cereal.

Speaking about the experience, Luke Daniels said:

“I really enjoyed taking part in the online educational session – it was great to inspire the children involved and have fun at the same time.

“During these difficult times, children and young people need all the support they can get.  The Trust is a stellar example of supporting young people online through a range of exciting educational activities.”

Our Short Breaks project, funded by Hounslow Council, offers extra-curricular support for children with additional needs. Activities are usually held at Griffin Park Learning Zone, however, as part of the Trust’s #BeeatHome campaign all its activities are now delivered online.
