We are delighted to invite your child to attend a trial session at Brentford FC Community Sports Trust and this is available for both outfield and goalkeepers, with specific training being provided. Existing players in our football programme do not need to re-trial.

Successful players will be invited to join our football development programme at the appropriate tier in our football pathway at either our venues in Gunnersbury Park, Hampton or Uxbridge (subject to capacity).

Players will participate in a 90-minute training session consisting of 45-minutes of technical practices and 45-minutes of conditioned small-sided games. Goalkeepers will train with our goalkeeper coach for the first 45-minutes.

Places are strictly limited to 24 per school year and no refunds will be permitted if your child misses the trial day.

Session Itinerary

School Years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 (U7, U8, U9, U10, U11)

• 09:30am-10:00am: Registration
• 10:00am-10:45am: Technical Sessions
• 10:45am-11:25am: Small-Sided Games
• 11:25am-11:30am: Debrief and Departure

School Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 (U12, U13, U14, U15)

• 12:00pm-12:30pm: Registration
• 12:30pm-13:15pm: Technical Sessions
• 13:15pm-13:55pm: Small-Sided Games
• 13:55pm-14:00pm: Debrief and Departure

Feedback and Outcome

Please note, no feedback will be provided on the day. We will contact all trialists via email only by Monday 19th February with the details of the training session your child(ren) will be invited too.

Trial players will be invited to join weekly sessions starting from the week commencing Monday 19th February 2024.

We cannot confirm which day or venue this will be until we know the outcome of the trial day.

Any questions can be answered on the day of the trial and we will look forward to welcoming all participants, parents and spectators on the day.

Permitted Kits

All players must wear shin pads to participate and wear the correct footwear (no metal studs).

Participants can wear Brentford kits, international kits (such as England, Spain, France etc), school, local club or branded kits. Unfortunately, we do not permit kits from other professional clubs such as Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United, Barcelona at our training sessions.

Costs: This will include the overall organisation of the event, all coaching, venue hire and match day supervision. The charge for this is £15.

Refund Policy: 

Payment is non-refundable for any cancellations or for non-attendance. This reflects the organisational work and the costs we have to absorb such as hiring training venues and the organisation of the trials.
